Every session, in order. From the first window you opened to the moment you stepped away, colored by app and tagged by category.

Idle is marked, never counted. Away time shows as its own block and stays out of your totals. Filter by app or by project.

Open a project, SmartTime files the time. Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, VS Code, Cursor and Claude Code are tracked per project, with nothing to tag.

Right-click to reopen. Jump back into any project file right where you left it.

Down to the sequence, with Pro. Per-sequence tracking in Premiere and per-timeline tracking in Resolve come with Pro, which is coming soon.

Claude Code

Every Claude session, on the right project.

The window only says "Claude". SmartTime knows more. It reads the session list the Claude desktop app keeps on your computer, so your time lands on the project folder and the exact Code session you had open.

Next to your editor time. Work on the same folder in VS Code and in Claude, and the Projects page adds the two together. A session that is really its own job can be split out into a project of its own, with one click.

Your past time, sorted too. On first run, SmartTime files the Claude time it already tracked into the sessions it belonged to. Free, and nothing leaves your computer.

Claude Code on the web too. With the SmartTime browser extension, time in a claude.ai/code session lands on its repository, even when the browser is signed in to a different Claude account. Next update

Privacy

Your history stays on your computer.

Every session is written to a local database on your computer. Nothing is uploaded on its own. If you switch on the weekly email, this is everything it carries.
